Send messages to the vehicles through the Tracking page or Messaging

There are two ways to send messages to your drivers: from the Tracking page and from Messaging. Drivers receive the messages via the EROAD Drive application on their mobile devices. Messaging permissions required.

Tracking Page

1. In the vehicles column, select the vehicle you wish to send your message to and then select the Messaging icon

2. This opens a screen where you type your desired message and send. You can also choose from a number of pre-determined messages, or choose more vehicles to send the message to via the More button

Messaging Tab

1. On the 360 main menu, select Messaging.

The messaging screen displays, where you can read, send, and reply to messages, and also monitor alert notifications if you set up email alerts as described in Set up alerts.

Use the filters to help you find particular messages.

Note: Show Alerts is enabled by default. To filter out automated alert messages, uncheck the Show Alerts check box.

2. Select New Message to Vehicle.

The New Message to Vehicle window displays with all vehicles listed by fleet. You can also select New Message to Fleet to send a message to a group.


3. Select a vehicle.

To filter the list, use the Fleet dropdown.

4. In the Message field, type a message.

Or, select Quick Select Message to choose a quick message. See Create quick select messages.

5. Select Send Message.

You see the successfully sent message listed on the messaging screen. To view a message thread with a particular vehicle/driver, double click on a message.
