Dashcams page, Dashcam Health, monitor installation status

Updated over 2 months ago

The Dashcams page (Admin > Clarity Dashcams) provides a directory of all dashcams in your company. You may have a mix of Clarity and Clarity Edge dashcams.

Low-resolution snapshots taken at the time of the last ignition off event provide verification that the dashcam was operational with the appropriate visibility. By default, dashcams are listed in order of most recent connection, as shown in the Last online column.

Manage detectors: Enable/disable AI event detection at the company level. Choose the particular AI events you want to monitor.

The In-cab Audio column enables you to control whether drivers hear voice prompts when AI detects the given behavior.

Settings: Enable automatic email notifications for AI and harsh events, and offline dashcams. Enable daily dashcam activity reports.

Export: Send an Excel spreadsheet of your sorted videos to the Downloads folder on your local device.

Filter the dashcam list with the dropdowns:

  • Search serial: Search by a dashcam’s serial number (full or partial).

  • Select installation status: Filter the list to show only dashcams with a status of Pending install, Pending assignment, or Installed.

  • Select vehicles: For dashcams with status Installed, search by vehicle name or license number.

You can also select the arrows in the Serial | Product, Installation status, and Last online column headers to sort the table.

Installation status:

  • Pending install: Dashcam is ready for installation in a vehicle.

  • Pending assignment: Dashcam was installed in a vehicle and now needs to be assigned to the vehicle in 360.

  • Installed: Dashcam was assigned to a vehicle; installation process is complete. The vehicle name and license plate appear in the Vehicle info column.

Once a dashcam is installed, select its row to view the Dashcam Health page.

Plan: Dual or front depending on the recording option chosen for this dashcam.

Driver Log On: Only applies to Solo plans. NFC logon device capability for drivers: Enabled or Not Enabled.

Three-dot menu: Provides more actions you can take for the selected dashcam. Available options depend on the installation status of the dashcam.

  • Pending install: No available actions.

Dashcam Health

For dashcams with status Installed, select a row to go to the dashcam’s Dashcam Health page. This page provides a snapshot of the dashcam, including:

  • Last updated video image, which can help you verify that the dashcam is operational and has the appropriate visibility.

  • Driver log on and log off dates, times, and locations.

  • Dashcam information such as the serial number, product, assigned vehicle, and potential fault warnings. If there is a potential fault, an additional Faults panel displays with details.

  • Statistics about a vehicle's video uploads for the current month. Use the date arrows to scroll through months. A high number of manually triggered uploads and harsh event uploads may be reasonable depending on the context.
