Before updating the RUC vehicle type or weight within EROAD 360, complete an NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) application form to update the licence type to correspond with the new vehicle type or weight. Once completed and processed, you can update the licence type within EROAD 360.

Note: If the vehicle only needs to be overweight for a short period or carries varying overweight loads, see Purchase an additional RUC licence.
To update the RUC licence type:
RUC Management permissions required.
1. On the 360 main menu, select Vehicles > RUC Manager.
2. Double-click the vehicle you want to adjust.
The Vehicle Defaults dialog displays.
3. In the Vehicle Defaults dialog, select Edit.
4. In the Default Licence Type dropdown, select the licence type that corresponds to the new RUC vehicle type or weight.
5. In the Payment Profile field, ensure that the correct payment profile is loaded.
6. Select Save.
Now, do the following to ensure that you receive a refund for any unused RUC at the old type/weight:
7. Back on the RUC management screen, select the vehicle. (Do not double-click.)
8. Select Shopping Cart > Add to cart for selected vehicle.
9. Under Vehicles, select the licence for this vehicle, and then select Edit.
10. Under Licence Details, use the Begin Distance arrows to adjust the begin distance to the current hubodometer reading.
11. Select Save > Obtain Quote.
12. Select Proceed to Checkout.
13. Confirm the licence details are correct, and then enter the invoice recipient and your EROAD 360 password.
14. Select Buy now.
