You can purchase additional RUC licences for vehicles that carry overweight loads as required for specific journeys for the additional weight (not the total weight). Additional licences are purchased against powered vehicles and used in addition to the appropriate distance licence for all the vehicles in the combination.
The powered vehicle must have a valid distance licence before you can purchase an additional licence. You cannot purchase the additional licence in combination with an H distance licence.
Purchase additional licences in increments of 1 km with a minimum of 10 kms required.
Additional weight is purchased in units of 1,000 kg. For example, if your vehicle's permanent RUC weight is 44,000 kg, and the maximum gross mass allowed by your permit is 48,000 kg, then you would purchase 4 tonnes of additional weight.
To purchase an additional RUC licence:
1. On the 360 main menu, select Vehicles > RUC Manager.
2. On the RUC management screen, select a vehicle, and then select Shopping Cart.
Note: You can purchase a combination additional licence by using CTRL + click to select a vehicle and trailer.
3. Select Purchase Licences.
4. Select the vehicle listed within Shopping Cart, and then under Licence Details, specify the additional distance, additional weight, and the begin distance.
5. Select Save.
6. In the Shopping Cart, select the vehicle, and then select Obtain Quote > Proceed to Checkout.
Or, if purchasing a combination additional licence, use CTRL + click to select both the vehicle and trailer.
7. Confirm the licence details are correct, and then enter the email invoice recipient and your Core 360 password.
8. Select Buy now.
