Set speed limits, time outs, alerts, and more

Updated this week

There are many settings that you can apply and change for your geofences, including:

  • Set a maximum speed limit and grace period.

  • Create messages to automatically send to drivers based on speeding, geofence entry, and geofence exit.

  • Specify time outs.

  • Specify targets against the geofence, such as the target number of visits per day, week, or month, and the time duration per visit.

  • Set an approach warning that appears as a notification to the driver.

To edit geofence settings:

1. Go to Admin > Location Manager.

2. Under the Locations tab, select a geofence, and then select Edit Settings.

The Location Edit Settings window displays.

3. In the Location Edit Settings > General tab, specify the settings you want to use, and then select Save.

To move a geofence to a new location group, select Groups.

To create alerts for this geofence, select Alerting. For example, you may want to receive an alert when drivers speed within the geofence. See Set up alerts for details.
